Shipping & Delivery Policy

At A1 Windows & Doors, we deliver our premium aluminum doors, windows, hardware, and accessories to residential and commercial sites nationwide. To ensure your order arrives safely and efficiently, please review our comprehensive shipping guidelines below.

1. Delivery Scheduling & Logistics

Because our products are exceptionally heavy and oversized, all deliveries require careful coordination.

  • Scheduling: Once your order reaches your local freight terminal, the carrier will contact you directly to schedule a specific delivery window.
  • Unloading Responsibilities: Delivery drivers are only responsible for transporting the shipment to your location. You must arrange for adequate physical assistance or machinery (such as a forklift) at the delivery site to safely unload your items from the truck.

Note: Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary based on your geographic location, order volume, and current product availability.

2. Freight Damage & Inspection

We take great care in packaging your order, but transit damage can occasionally occur. You must inspect all items thoroughly before signing the driver’s delivery receipt. If you notice any visible damage to the packaging or the products themselves, you must take the following steps immediately to protect your right to a replacement or refund:

  • Document the Receipt: Clearly write a detailed description of the damage directly on the carrier’s delivery receipt before the driver leaves.
  • Take Photos: Capture clear, immediate photographic evidence of the damaged packaging and products.
  • Alert Us: Notify A1 Windows & Doors of the damage within 24 hours of arrival.

Crucial Warning: Signing a delivery receipt without noting any damage indicates that the shipment arrived in perfect condition. Failure to document transit damage at the time of delivery will void your freight claim, and A1 Doors & Windows cannot be held liable for undocumented damage.

3. Storage and Unclaimed Orders

We understand that construction timelines shift, but we cannot store completed orders indefinitely. Once we notify you that your order is ready for shipment or warehouse pickup, you have seven (7) calendar days to accept the delivery or collect your items.

4. Order Cancellations

If you need to change your mind, please contact us as soon as possible. Cancellation terms depend entirely on the status of your order:

  • Standard Pre-Shipment Orders: Cancellations made before your items leave our facility may be subject to a 10% processing fee.
  • Shipped Orders: Once an order has been dispatched from our warehouse, it cannot be cancelled. It must be processed under our standard Return & Refund Policy.
  • Custom Orders: Because custom products are built to your exact, unique specifications, custom orders cannot be cancelled or modified once production has begun.

5. Project Delay Disclaimer

While we strive to meet all estimated shipping windows, unpredictable transit delays can happen. A1 Windows & Doors is not financially or legally responsible for project delays, contractor downtime, construction scheduling conflicts, or any secondary costs resulting from shipping delays or installation timing.

We strongly advise scheduling your installers and contractors only after your products have successfully arrived and been inspected on-site.
