Return & Refund Policy

1. Shipping & Transit Timelines

We provide secure, nationwide freight shipping for all orders from doorandwindows.store.

  • Handling Time: In-stock items are typically processed and dispatched within 24 to 48 hours following payment confirmation.
  • California Deliveries: Expect your shipment to arrive within 2 to 3 business days from dispatch.
  • Out-of-State Deliveries: Deliveries outside of California take approximately 7 to 10 business days.
  • Delivery Scheduling: The freight carrier will call you directly using the phone number provided at checkout to arrange a convenient delivery window.

Unloading Reminder: Because our products are exceptionally heavy and oversized, the freight driver cannot unload them alone. You must arrange to have at least two capable individuals on-site at the time of delivery to assist the driver in safely moving the shipment to your driveway. Shipping rates are calculated dynamically at checkout based on total weight, dimensions, and destination.

2. Mandatory Order Inspection Window

To protect your investment, you must inspect your delivery immediately upon arrival.

  • Any missing components, incorrect products, or transit damage must be reported to A1 Doors & Windows within five (5) calendar days of delivery.
  • If no issues are reported within this strict 5-day window, the shipment will be deemed accepted in perfect, complete condition, and subsequent claims may be denied.

3. Standard Return Policy

We offer a 30-day return policy on all standard, non-custom items. If you are unsatisfied with your purchase, you must contact our customer service team within 30 days of your delivery date to request an official Return Authorization.

Return Conditions: To qualify for a refund, your returned items must strictly meet the following criteria:

  • The product must be completely unused and uninstalled.
  • Items must be packed securely in their original factory packaging.
  • All associated parts, installation hardware, brackets, and documentation must be included.
  • The product must arrive back at our facility in brand-new, resellable condition.

Important Note: Any returns that fail to meet these requirements may be rejected outright or face significant refund deductions.

Return Shipping Responsibilities: The customer is solely responsible for coordinating and paying for return freight shipping. You are also liable for ensuring the products are properly packed and protected against transit damage. We highly recommend using a reputable carrier that offers full shipment tracking and freight insurance, as A1 Doors & Windows is not responsible for items lost or damaged during return transit.

4. Restocking Fees & Non-Refundable Charges

Every eligible return is subject to standard processing deductions to cover handling and administrative costs:

5. Refund Processing Timeline

Once your returned items are delivered back to our facility, our quality control team will inspect them to verify their condition.

  • Approval & Timeline: If approved, your refund (minus the restocking, processing, and shipping fees) will be processed within approximately 14 business days.
  • Deductions: Any signs of missing hardware, superficial damage, or deviations from our return conditions will result in structural deductions from your final refund amount.

6. Installed, Altered, or Refused Shipments

Installed or Modified Products: Products are instantly disqualified from return or refund eligibility if they have been installed (even partially), modified, cut, altered, painted, stained, or damaged post-delivery. If you install a product and subsequently discover an issue, you cannot return it and will be held responsible for frame replacement fees or any associated structural costs.

Shipment Refusals: If you actively refuse a shipment after it has already been dispatched from our warehouse, the order will be handled as a standard return. You will be billed for the return freight costs, the 25% restocking fee, and your original shipping charges will remain non-refundable.

7. Custom Order Policy

Custom doors and windows are manufactured strictly according to your unique architectural specifications. Because these items are tailored specifically for your project, once production begins, they cannot be cancelled, altered, returned, or refunded.

Lead Times: The estimated manufacturing lead time for custom builds ranges from 45 to 65 days, depending on the complexity and design scale of your order.

8. Customer Order Confirmation Responsibility

By submitting your payment, you officially confirm and agree that every detail on the provided invoice is correct, all sizing/specifications are accurate, and your shipping/billing information has been thoroughly verified. It is the customer’s sole responsibility to review the line-by-line invoice details for accuracy before finalizing payment. A1 Doors & Windows will build and ship exactly what is listed on the approved invoice.
